the developer has decided to stop open source development on the project. Development will now be closed source, at least on the core features. The next release, version 1.0 due out next week, will also not have a free version. Your only options for activeCollab 1.0 are SmallBiz ($199) and Corporate ($399).

But for those who can’t or don’t want to pay for the new activeCollab version, a new group has forked the project’s last open source release, version 0.7.1. The group, ProjectPier, already has a release and development, based on activities in its site, seems to be already starting.

Open the terminal and:
$ sudo apt-get install libxaw6 libmotif3 $ sudo ln -s /usr/X11R6/lib/libXm.so.3 /usr/lib/libXm.so.3 $ sudo apt-get install alien

Download the latest cirix client {rpm} from website:
http://www.citrix.com/site/SS/downloads/details.asp?dID=2755&downloadID=3323#top

Open the terminal again and cd to the download location
$ sudo alien ICAClient-10.0-2.i386.rpm $ sudo dpkg -i icaclient-10.0-2.i386.deb $ sudo ln -s /usr/lib/ICAClient/npica.so /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/npica.so $ sudo ln -s /usr/lib/ICAClient/npica.so /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/plugins/npica.so

Installation is finischd, rest is extra..

Add icon:
sudo gedit /usr/share/applications/wfica.desktop
